@Bob Kuszewski, what do you mean by better processes? What does it mean for jdbc driver or any other jar files, which have only one place where they supposed to be published is, maven central. Currently, InterSystems - JDBC and InterSystems XEP just contain empty files, which have to be deleted.

JAR files here, just only 155 bytes in size or even less.

If you're using IRIS 2020.2.0 or above (both target and source instances must be ^2020.2.0), you can try to leverage %Net.DB.Iris. It's an implementation of IRIS Native for Java/.NET/Python/Node except for Objectscript. If there is enough interest for features like %Net.DB.Iris, @Bob Kuszewski would love to hear about it and communicate that interest over to the development teams!

Hey Developers,

We're pleased to invite you to join the next InterSystems IRIS 2020.1 Tech Talk: Using Java and .NETon June 16 at 10:00 AM EDT!

In this installment of InterSystems IRIS 2020.1 Tech Talks, we put the spotlight on extending InterSystems IRIS with your own custom Java and .NET code. We will demo how to create a custom interoperability component with the new Productions Extensions (PEX) feature. Following that, we’ll demo how to call Java or .NET code from any ObjectScript code.

Hey Developers,

We're pleased to invite you to join the next InterSystems IRIS 2020.1 Tech Talk: DevOps on June 2nd  at 10:00 AM EDT!

In this InterSystems IRIS 2020.1 Tech Talk, we focus on DevOps. We'll talk about InterSystems System Alerting and Monitoring, which offers unified cluster monitoring in a single pane for all your InterSystems IRIS instances. It is built on Prometheus and Grafana, two of the most respected open source offerings available.

Next, we'll dive into the InterSystems Kubernetes Operator, a special controller for Kubernetes that streamlines InterSystems IRIS deployments and management. It's the easiest way to deploy an InterSystems IRIS cluster on-prem or in the Cloud, and we'll show how you can configure mirroring, ECP, sharding and compute nodes, and automate it all.

Finally, we'll discuss how to speed test InterSystems IRIS using the open source Ingestion Speed Test. This tool is available on InterSystems Open Exchange for your own testing and benchmarking.

How can we fix the documentation (or the class method name)?

If possible please report the issue to the WRC.

Hi Developers,

Please welcome the new video specially recorded by InterSystems Product Manager @Bob Kuszewski for the 3rd InterSystems Online Programming Contest on InterSystems IRIS Native API:

⏯ Using the IRIS Native API GitHub Template

What’s the contest about?

In the last year, InterSystems added and expanded Native APIs for Java, .NET, Python, and Node.js. The Native API provides high speed access to globals, the ability to instantiate and use ObjectScript objects, and fine-grained control over transactions.
