VS Code release July 2025 (version 1.103)

Enhancements include revamped tool picker and expanded tool limits for MCPs, Chat GPT-5 integration and chat checkpoints, and multi-branch Git worktrees plus coding agent session management to improve productivity.

Updates in version 1.103 include -

MCP:

• Revamped tool picker experience 
• Enable more than 128 tools per agent request

Chat:

• Use GPT-5 in VS Code 
• Restore to a previous good state with chat checkpoints

• Check out multiple branches simultaneously with Git worktrees
• Manage coding agent sessions in a dedicated view
