I'm trying to set up VS Code for ObjectScript using the instructions found here I've got both Cache 2018.1.2.309.0 and IRIS 2020.1.0.215.0. When I try to connect to either one of them the connection fails, and I get a notification in the bottom right corner that says "Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0". I've checked the JSON settings file that VS Code uses, and they're fine and formatted properly. All of the settings I've entered are correct. I suspect that there's a response coming back from the server that VS Code is expecting to be JSON, but isn't.

Working on implementation FHIR to my project, I found interesting project HAPI-FHIR, which could help me to quickly launch my FHIR api server with InterSystems Caché as a storage, because this projects uses Hibernate to connect to database, as an example they use DerbyDB. I tried to change settings to use InterSystems Caché, but unfortunately it does not work and throw some errors inside HIbernate. As I found in Caché documentation, I have not some many options, I just have to set Cache dialect, and set database url.  This projects uses Hibernate 5.

Just got the new beta version of Docker, with depreciation warning of AUFS. It's so bad news when InterSystems does not support used by default storage driver overlay2. Recently I thought to play with Google Kubernetes Engine, and realized that I can't work with InterSystems products there due to incompatibility with Storage Driver. Maybe it's already time to think about support?

After linking in Oracle Table with Field Column's Data Types of NUMBER, my updates into these table fields are resulting in data that is being rounded to 2 decimal places. I insert a record with 1234.1234 and 1234.12 is stored.

It appears Cache xDBC might be manipulating my values prior to sending to Oracle. Is there a setting or system parameter that is controlling this? If so, is there a way to relax this from occurring so the values I send are being stored in Oracle with the same values?

We are finally planning to migrate some ancient Caché applications that are run on Caché 5.0.21 to a new server with Caché 2016.2.0 or so.

I wonder if we could use Shadowing between those to keep the data on the new server up to date?

We would copy the Caché backup from the old environment to the new and do a RESTORE there and then start shadowing.

I know than 5.0.21 is no more officially supported by ISC.

First I created a new ambient on my own machine to developer in html and all works.
So, I exported the library's js (as jss) to a new Application (stylesheet /js /css) and created too a new Zen Page .cls calling this Application style.

I'm having trouble with a vb6 application attempting to connect to a Cache 2017 release. It uses the older Cacheobject.dll instead of ActiveX. The application currently works with a 2010 release of Cache. Is Cacheobject.dll supported in later releases?

I looked through documentation and posts and did not find an answer.

Thinking about a database migration. Is it possible, in a non-traumatic way, to take an Oracle database and migrate it completely to Caché?
 

When I open a BPL in Atelier and right click 'Open diagram editor' I get a Java Incompatible browser error message (see below).

I'm using Windows 8.1, Atelier 1.0.190 and IE 11.

All the M.S. updates are up to date.

I also have firefox and chrome installed.

Trying to change default browsers etc. did not work.

I have SourceControl utility class as in sys namespace

 Class %MW.Web Extends %CSP.Page {... }

Previously with Cache 2010.1 and below  there was no problem accessing it through

localhost:57772:/csp/myns/%MW.Web.cls

But now with newer version at least with  2016.2  I' ll get Forbidden message from it.

With Web Gateway HTTP Trace Facility 

GET /csp/ipanax2/%MW.Web.cls HTTP/1.1  

​-->  HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden  

How can we make it accessible again?

2.        Enterprise Resource Planning OAGIS (Open Applications Group Integration Specification) Protocol / Supply Chain Management GS1-EPCIS (Electronic Product Code Information Services)

3.        Education, Certification, Credentials FERPA CEDS (Common Education Data Standards) Protocol

I was wondering if there was a way to if the user is using Studio and changes a file to get the users name and have a function run when the file is changed. 

Ive got this working for .int files but not for .csp or .js or .css or any other kinds of files. 

When we edit code we are logged in to the Cache backend’s server through Studio by using an iPaddress (which is on our network).

As we've all heard 2016.2 draws near and brings the removal of system methods with it.

There are two ways to make the code compatible with 2016.2:

• Replace system methods with new methods
• Replace system methods with macros

Documentation (http://docs.intersystems.com/irislatest/csp/docbook/DocBook.UI.Page.cls…) states that it looks like:

Does it really true, or just a documentation typo?

I have one in my testing environment. According to https://community.intersystems.com/post/licensing-ubuntu-and-suse-20171-and-later, I should move to native Ubuntu build with 2017.2. So I downloaded Cache for UNIX (Ubuntu Server LTS for x86-64) 2017.2.1 and tried to update my existing 2015.1.4 installation. What I got was:

Upgrade from lnxsusex64 platform is not allowed.

No packages will be installed.

Meanwhile new Cache 2017.2 instance was installed without any problem.

The question is: how to upgrade an existing one?

When upgrading a Health Connect deployment from 2014 to 2016 do I HAVE to recompile? or is the "just upgrading" enough?

Atelier works with linux distributions?

I am trying to execute a program from within cache using a $zf call

For the sake of this post I changed it to open notepad

S X=$ZF(-1,"C:\Windows\notepad.exe")

If I call it directly from terminal notepad opens and all is happy.  

If I add it to a program we use to run certain tasks once an hour or even every 10 minutes it will fire off notepad but it will be in the background.

The messaging application we use will not work at all in the background and needs to be in the foreground.

Someone have experiences interconecting NonStop SQLMP with Iris ?

I need if possible some references or tips, actually connected with JDBC driver to interconnect and take many assorted problems, like :

Some queries, not to much, have null fetch, works fine but have no content to fetch, and i'm sure select sentence is not the problem.

We are seeing more and more customers being lured with latest infrastructure technologies, particularly Composable Infrastructure. Coming with all sorts of data center consolidations and costs savings.

Question is: are there any concerns for HealthShare/TrakCare being run on these platforms or things to look out for? Anyone out there, already on these platforms?

To be more specific this is HPe Synergy with 480 Compute blades booting as bare metal.
