Highlights from an Inspiring Iberia READY 2026

I'm happy to share that I was invited to present on the Developer Ecosystem and how it helps everyone become better programmers at the meetup during Iberia READY 2026. Thus, I had a chance to participate in this great event. And you have a chance to see how it went on, because as usual, I will share photos and impressions!

When I arrived, the first thing I saw was the Developer Zone and my presentation about the Ecosystem 🤩

The day opened with an energizing welcome that set the tone for what followed: collaboration, growth, and a strong focus on the future of data platforms and AI.

Leadership perspectives, including insights from @Jeff Fried, Director of Platform Strategy, highlighted where the platform is heading and how we can continue delivering value in an increasingly AI-driven landscape.

Throughout the venue, the atmosphere was vibrant and engaging. Some attendees were listening to the presentations, some were discussing ideas while playing games.

The event was beautifully appointed, with thoughtful attention to detail. The lunch setup in particular stood out, creating a relaxed and welcoming space for meaningful conversations and networking.

There was even live music during lunch!

The Developer Ecosystem was well represented, with a dedicated stand

Here you can see @Olga Zavrazhnova, @Susana Gonzalez, @Iryna Mykhailova and even @Silvia Schoch Alvarado (who's actually working!).

It was great to finally meet in person with @Alberto Fuentes

and @Luis Angel Pérez Ramos

They are real people and not just nicknames on the Community!

@Olga Zavrazhnova managed to corner @Mike Fuller, Regional Director of Marketing, to discuss their stuff 😁

The interactive elements added a special dimension to the event. The Lego AI challenge sparked creativity and friendly competition, with participants building impressive AI-themed sculptures.

You can see @Ana Romero was really enjoying the process!

Can you guess which famous painting is represented here?

One of the most dynamic parts of the day was the Meetup segment of the Iberia Ready 2026

During the meetup, I had the opportunity to present “Streamlining Development Workflow with InterSystems Developer Ecosystem.” The session focused on how developers can accelerate delivery by leveraging the full ecosystem, including the Developer Community, Open Exchange, Ideas Portal and Global Masters, as well as our tutorials.

Afterwards, @Alberto Fuentes  talked about AI agents

At the end, @David Reche organized a Kahoot game, based on all the info from the meetup. I even joined in and, to my surprise, placed 25th out of 44 participants. Considering I do not speak the language, I am especially proud of this result.

Here we are, the happy animators of the meetup - we survived!

A special thank you goes to the organizers from the Iberia office. Their dedication, warmth, and attention to detail made the event seamless and welcoming.

To sum this day up, Iberia READY 2026 was more than a regional event. It was a celebration of innovation, partnership, and the growing Developer Ecosystem that connects us all.

I hope to get invited to the next year's READY and see you all there as well! And, of curse, don't forget about the READY 2026 in the USA!
