hi..thanks for the code reference.  One more question, what if the query is long.  Can it still be set to a variable then called within the routine.    I can try to test that too.  I just wondered if you had executed a long query within a routine.

Thanks so much for the help.  I am able to access the Task Manager.  Question, can an SQL query be set up via the Task manager wizard so that it will execute?

Hi There,

What I meant by filter is similar to the filters in Excel where a sort can be specified as an example.   In my routines, I take a delimited file and then can manipulate the logic based on the request.  The file can be created in Excel format.  Is this what you mean that you take files for use in Excel?

hi...a mumps routine is basically object script that has been around for years and predates Cache/Ensemble etc.  IDX routines are from the Vendor  (Athena).  Do you have example of .int code where the SQL method is getting called.  Once the method is executed, where can the view be referenced?

hi...thank you for this comment....I remember the Task manager in Ensemble, but since we upgraded to IRIS, the System Operation selection is grayed out.  I submitted a case to the Vendor to see if I can get access.

Hi Vic,

Thanks for the quick response.  I have reached out to Athena for an answer on the version to upload and they have not responded yet to me.  I figured I would ask on the forum to see if anyone knew what version to download.
