I am using IRIS for Windows (x86-64) 2022.1 (Build 209) Tue May 31 2022 12:27:55 EDT [Health:3.5.0]. I created Interoperability Production with a Service to read file from S3 bucket and an Operation to write files to a different S3 bucket. I specified AWS  ProviderCredentialsFile.

I see "Terminating Job 7096 / 'From S3 Bucket' with Status = ERROR #5023: Remote Gateway Error: Connection cannot be established, %QuitTask=

Do I need anything like Python libraries or AWS CLI to make this work?

Iris DAT file is filling up  the Internal Storage with available Free Space to Zero. Is there any Alternative measures to reduce the File size or to control the Capacity.  Is there any chance to save Local storage.

Once the Local Storage is full, Production is not responding and throwing Out of Space Error.

Does IRIS has any Internal Cloud Storage which can be used for managing and Storing  Database Operations. If yes, How can we configure it,

Has anyone firstly got VIP working for mirroring in Azure?  We are pretty sure that this won't work but I wanted to verify it.

Has anyone used the Azure Load balancer to act as a Virtual IP and if so was a application gateway required.

Interested to know your experiences in getting this working.

greetings Community!

InterSystems Learning Services is working to identify and create libraries of high-quality learning resources for third-party technologies, platforms, and systems that are part of, integrated with, or commonly used with InterSystems products and technologies. we don't create content for these ourselves, but want to support our clients, external and internal, in learning about them and how to use them.

Hi, someone have connected Iris to a Bucket ? like aws, huawei, etc.

I try to use private Bucket as storage for files, and Iris as database & API interface to manage this files, but al SDKs are in another languages, no one have founded on COS.

I have tested some examples, but with bad results

Set request = ##class(%Net.HttpRequest).%New()
Set request.Server = "..."
Set request.Port = "443"
Set request.Https = $$$YES
Set request.SSLConfiguration="default"
Set request.Date = $zdt($h,2)
Set AccessKeyID = "..."
Set ExpiresValue = $ZDATETIME($HOROLOG,-2)+60
Set StringToSign =
                         "GET" _ "\n" _
                         "" _ "\n" _
                         "text/plain" _ "\n" _
                        ExpiresValue _ "\n"
Set signature =
                    $zconvert($system.Encryption.Base64Encode($system.Encryption.HMACSHA1(StringToSign,"...")),"O","URL")
Set tURL = "/ObjectKey?AccessKeyId="_ AccessKeyID _ "&Expires="_ ExpiresValue _ "&Signature="_ signature
Do request.Get("/files/" _ tFind _ ".ext")

Hi Everyone,

I've been working on deploying an IRIS for Health environment in EKS. There is a video session in the InterSystems learning portal about this feature but I have not succeeded in finding the proper documentation and resources to use this in my Kubernetes cluster.

Has this been deprecated/discontinued? Any idea where can I find the resources? Should I stick to StatefulSets instead of using the IrisCluster resource type provided by this operator?

I want to add ports 9100 and 9101 in addition to 52773. I read on docker container documentation that this is not possible on a already ran image. Currently it starts the google cloud IRIS health container automatically without me able to specify the additional ports. How can I add ports to Google cloud IRIS Health container?

Hello experts,

I am new to IRIS and I was told I could get a great hands-on experince with the commuity edition that is currently availabe on mutliple cloud providers.

Unfortunately connecting Atelier to the given IRIS instance has been unsuccessful:

Accorording to this troubleshooting guide

- A single-user license is not sufficient to run Atelier.

According to my License Key:

   License Type=Single Concurrent User

And my license use is at 100%:

How am I supposed to connect and test IRIS if the Communty Edition does not provide a suffiscient license?

Am I missinng somehitng else?

Thanks,

Evgeni

Hi Community!

Consider I have InterSystems IRIS server in a cloud and want to introduce a DR server for it.

Are there any requirements for DR server for InterSystems IRIS if it is in a cloud?

Should it be the same subnet? One private cloud?

Can DR server be placed on another cloud, say Primary on Google Cloud and DR on Azure? Are there any caveats/concerns?

Hi,

I would like to know if anyone has had some experience in building systems for multiple end-users.

To keep things simple, in a hypothetical example, say an Event Booking System, where a Venue could sign up to use such a system and define it's Venue, costs, calendars, etc.. and then invite their customers to book the Venue on different days/times.

If I wish to offer such a system to many

Hey folks,

I am new to IRIS and cloud platforms. I've done the InterSystems IRIS Experience on the learning site and read a lot of the online documentation. What I am unable to figure out is which type of package or option you will use on the cloud provider.

AWS for example, has AWS EC2, Elastic Beanstalk and some other products geared towards Docker containers.
Azure has Kubernetes and some other options.

Is IRIS and Docker deployed using the "Docker" products of the cloud providers, or should one get VM's on which CentOS is installed and Docker on top of that?

I am designing the software architecture for an Ensemble/Healthshare production to be deployed on Amazon AWS EC2 servers (2 mirrored m4.large - 4 vCPUs / 16 GiB RAM running RedHat Linux  3.10.0-327.el7.x86_64 and Healthshare for RHEL 64-bit 2016.2.1). It's a rather CPU-intensive production involving massive XSLT 2.0 transformations (massive both in terms of size and volume). I was wondering if anyone has experience configuring Ensemble productions on EC2 servers.

How suitable is Docker for standalone deployment of an Ensemble version and Ensemble application together?

The context is deployment by an application partner of an integration application and the supporting Ensemble version as a single package (single file ideally), to multiple environments and to multiple customer sites.

I don't have experience with Ensemble on Docker so I'm wondering what gaps and pitfalls may exist.

Let assume you have a infinitely scaling algorithm implemented in your application, using replication, ECP, or any other means of horizontal scaling, and let assume you know how to run your system under any volume of requests, the trick is to deploy required number of computing nodes in the cluster. If we are talking about cluster of 2-4 nodes your administrator (or as they call it today "devops engineer") will install anything manually. Probably he will easily handle 5 nodes configuration in the cluster. But what if you need to deploy 10, 100, or 200 properly configured, interconnected nodes?

Hi,

Can a Cache Mirror be  used in the cloud ? (ie stand up a Primary and Backup member instances in a High Availability Cache Mirroring configuration)

I'm investigating the validity of this configuration, because I was of the understanding that this may not possible due to these cloud servers not (typically) having fixed ip addresses, which interferes with the Virtual IP settings for the mirror set.

Is this correct, and if there are workarounds (like Load Balancing ?) can I have details on how this should be configured ?

Hi all,

I was wondering, what is your favourite public cloud provider?

What is your level of engagement with the cloud provider? Are you testing their infrastructure? In which case I'd expect you being progressing a parallel test with at least a second provider ;-) Or, are you already running a production environment?

--

OK, so, let me be the first one to share my experience with one specific cloud provider.
