Why don't I get an option to answer my own question?
Apparently if I pose a question (like this one) and subsequently discover an answer, I can't add that as an answer. I'd have to resort to a comment on the original posting, or editing the original posting.

How do you choose if something is a comment or an answer? I just have a WYSIWYG form labeled "Your Answer".
Oh I see, top level replies are "answers" and then you can comment on them.
Wish I could delete my answer :)
Confirmed same behavior for a question I posted. I agree that we should be able to answer our own questions.
Now we can, I'm adding this "answer", and then accepting it, in order to remove it from the "unanswered" and "no answer" lists.
