Infrastructure Lead: InterSystems & Cloud Virtualization

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

Core Infrastructure & Cloud Management

  • Full-Stack Administration: Maintain and optimize both Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL) and Windows Server environments.
  • Cloud Orchestration: Take full ownership of VM cloud infrastructure, including provisioning, health monitoring, backup and resource scaling.
  • Policy Governance: Design and enforce comprehensive SysAdmin and Deployment policies (CI/CD pipelines, automated provisioning, and security hardening).

InterSystems Database Administration

  • Platform Expertise: Expert-level administration of both InterSystems IRIS and Caché.
  • High Availability: Management of Mirroring (Async/Sync), Shadowing, and ECP (Enterprise Cache Protocol) configurations to ensure zero-downtime production environments.
  • Performance Tuning: Database integrity checks, global mapping, and journal management.

Production & Deployment Strategy

  • High-Stakes Environments: Direct responsibility for production system stability and disaster recovery protocols.
  • Deployment Modernization: Implementing best practices for code deployment within InterSystems environments, moving toward automated, repeatable processes.

Candidate Profile & "Soft" Skills

  • Self-Directed: Since the role is 100% remote, the candidate must demonstrate a history of managing complex infrastructure without local oversight.
  • Crisis Management: Comfortable being the "last line of defense" for production-grade mirrored environments.
  • Strategic Thinking: Able to look at a collection of VMs and see a cohesive system rather than just isolated servers.
