Is there any official answer to this question: Does Atelier only support Unicode servers?

To clarify, the Atelier preview will only work with Unicode servers. That is not permanent. Atelier WILL support 8-bit servers in future.

Atelier will only work with Unicode servers. It does not support 8-bit servers.
