How to edit Enterprise System "Web IP Adress" setting without causing automatic Node Creation ?

Hi community,

we recently updated our Health Connect instance from 2021.1 to 2024.1 and also migrated to new hardware. The production environment is connected to an enterprise message bank system.

After going live with the new system we recognized, that enterprise system nodes in the messagebank were automatically created using a hostname for the "Web IP Address" setting, which actually had changed (to the hostname of the former production environment) before starting the production and sending messages. The "Client Nickname" contains the correct hostname. These nodes are therefor not able to connect to the target at the moment.

When editing the system's Web IP Address (which is mandatory as the hostname has changed an the corresponding certificate is published for the hostname ending in 1p), a new node is created with empty Node Id. The automatically created node remains unchanged.

This behaviour has effects on our message resend workflow, as no default target system is automatically selected and target system and config item have to be selected manually from the dropdown menu. The original node is marked with "Target not running"

This means additional work and clicks and gets more and more anoying over the time.

The question this leads me to: Is there a way to manipulate the automatically created node's "Web IP Address" setting without causing the creation of a new node without Node Id?
We would like to update the Web IP Address in a way that keeps the Node ID to allow the automatic preset of the Target Client in the Message Resend dialog. The other option would be to assing the former hostname as an alias and change certificate creation to create valid certificates for both hostnames. If there is no other way, I'd go for this solution, but I would at least ask the experts if there is any other way...

Thanks and kind regards,

Martin
