I often talk to friends who work in IT and who are familiar with databases, but who have never heard of IRIS. The contents of this article will help me in my attempts to explain what IRIS does that is so different and superior to what they are familiar with. 
I think this should be a 'Social Share' article, because it outlines many of these differences in an easy-to-understand way.

This is a great idea!
I'm eager to try it out. The IP/Port change from Dev/Test/Prod environments have always been an issue with us. 
We are using System Defaults to deal with this issue currently, but I would like to have this option as well.
