[request] a more compact index

I would really like to see (an option for) a more compact index of posts.  The current index layout makes me feel like a) there's not much content on the site and b) I have to look harder to get an idea of what's going on.  I feel like I'm forced to read each post instead of just glancing over a "list" of posts.

If I'd had time I would have made a couple mockups, but basically see any forum or email inbox for an example of what I think you should work towards (at least somewhere in between).  The way it is it reminds me more of my Facebook feed. Quite frankly, I'm just not interested in every post.

Hi, Scott! Makes sense. We plan to add Subscription feed to show you only the posts on tags, members and groups you most interested in.

And compact index view with header, author, date only is also a good idea.

Thanks.

This new page, which shows content by tag in summary form and also has personalization, is in the works.

There are two other things related to this - a new mechanism for marking tags you'd like to follow and additional filtering on the "view by tag" page so that you can see "New" and "Unanswered" postings by tag.

I believe Scott is looking for something like ycombinator style.

I think this is really good alternative to Main. Of course it should be switchable.
