Following link and login for friend request

Someone sent me a friend request, I clicked on the link in the email and was presented with a screen that said 'access denied' which was very unfriendly and unhelpful. Of course it was because I was not logged in but rather than 'access denied' why not redirect to the login page so I can login and so accept the friend request?

After I logged in I get the 'accept/deny' options on the friend request. I clicked accept which as the link says should have accepted the request, however it appears this did not accept the request. I took me to a screen where I can send a message (which is fine) but unless I click 'send' on this page it never accepts the friend request. I do not want to send a message, but I am forced to click a link that says 'send' in order to complete the operation which should have been completed on the clicking of 'accept'. At the very least the link on the second page should not be 'send' as I was not sending anything.

Finally, on this 'create post' page the page layout is rather confused. Mostly I want to enter my comment and either preview or post it, however between my comment and the preview/post buttons is a ton of other stuff with drop downs and buttons with differing sizes and strange formatting where text is left indendeted etc. Can we hide these under an expandable block so I can see the submit post link when I am entering the comment rather than having to hunt for this? Also why is the link called 'save' rather than 'post', at the top of this page it says 'Create Post', so the action I am performing is posting a comment, not saving one, saving makes it sound like I am saving a copy for myself rather than publishing it for other people to view.
