Category (drop-down) out of sync from Production.Config page to Production Monitor page
We use the Category drop-down for other IT analysts to quickly see interfaces related to their application/group. This drop0down fails to work (IDs get out of sync with Config Item IDs) if the Production is compiled. There is no fix available (development was started, but stopped in favor of other items).
Has anyone else run into this issue? Any custom work-arounds?

It is interesting to know that this might be implemented at some point.
My first thought is to recommend not compiling a running production, though I understand that's not "helpful" advice. When you compile a business component it should be stopped, and I assume similar best practices apply to compiling a production.
Can you explain why the production needs to be recompiled while active? Maybe that will help somebody present a workaround.
Honestly, I'm trying to figure out under what conditions the Production gets recompiled. The only fix is to stop and restart the Production, which obviously is not ideal in a live environment...
Ah, that is certainly a separate issue. Hopefully, you figure out what's causing that or somebody has ideas, but I've not seen random recompiles personally.
