This message contains three recent HealthShare Advisories, which are available below.

  • Advisory: ODS Not Storing Observations When Terminology Translations Are Used

These advisories are also on the InterSystems Product Alerts and Advisories page

June 30, 2020 – Advisory: ODS Not Storing Observations When Terminology Translations Are Used

InterSystems has corrected a defect that may be experienced if a terminology mapping profile is in use for Observations. The Operational Data Store (ODS) does not correctly process the terminology translation. As a result, no streamlet or FHIR resource is stored in the ODS for the affected Observation.  Once the fix is applied, there is no conversion task or backload required; the next time an affected record is queried via the ODS, the correct data will be returned.

This issue has been classified as a Patient Safety Risk as it affects the availability of patient data.

This problem exists for:

  • HealthShare Unified Care Record 2019.1 and 2019.1.2

The correction for this defect is identified as dev key MCZ114 and will be included in all product releases starting with HealthShare 2019.2 and later. It is also available via Adhoc change file (patch) or full kit distribution from the Worldwide Response Center (WRC).

June 30, 2020 – Advisory: Composite Record Definition Must Reference Implemented Linkage Definition

The recommendations in this advisory apply to:

  • HealthShare Patient Index 2018.1
  • HealthShare Patient Index 2019.1
  • HealthShare Patient Index 2019.1.2
  • HealthShare Patient Index 2019.2
  • HealthShare Patient Index 2020.1

InterSystems has updated the Patient Index documentation to remind customers who use a site-specific linkage definition that they must identify this definition in the Configuration Registry using the key: \HSPI\LinkageDefinition

Patient Index comes with a default “Local” Composite Record definition that you can use or customize. The Local definition uses the default linkage definition, rather than the one indicated by the Configuration Registry. If you enable the Local Composite Record definition or create a custom Composite Record definition, you must modify it to reference the linkage definition indicated in the Configuration Registry.

If your Composite Record definition references the wrong linkage definition, you may see an “Undefined” error during Patient Search, or the system may not correctly construct the Composite Record from multiple sources, resulting in incorrect patient demographics in search results.

Additional information can be found in the following Patient Index documentation (WRC login credentials required):

June 30, 2020 – Advisory: Potential for Outdated Terms of Use to be Presented in Personal Community

InterSystems has corrected a defect that could arise where Personal Community Patients are presented with an out-of-date version of an Organization's Terms of Use.

This has been corrected in Personal Community 2020.1 so that the current Terms of Use version remains active after modifying patients in the Workbench.

This problem exists for:

  • HealthShare Personal Community - versions prior to 2020.1

This defect occurs when a patient who accepted only the old Terms of Use is modified and saved via the Members tab of the Personal Community Workbench.  The system would incorrectly flag the older version of the Terms of Use as the current version, and all subsequent Patients would be presented with that version.

If you have any questions regarding this advisory, please contact the Worldwide Response Center (WRC) at support@InterSystems.com or  +1.617.621.0700.
