Thank you for sharing this! We followed same process overall, but handled code promotion differently. Our setup is to run IRIS on Kubernetes with different volumes for namespaces (code, globals) & journaling.

Given this requirement, we can not copy/package code into the docker image. So we made use of post install script option to pull the code and import as IRIS container starts.
