InterSystems IRIS data platform is used to store the omics sequence data, the raw DNA/RNA/Protein sequence, and associated metadata that is imported from parquet files. The sequence descriptions are indexed using the IRIS NLP (iKnow) technology, to allow exploring and searching for semantic concepts used in describing sequences besides looking for sequence similarities.
