IRIS development server data-sync best practices

Current setup:

  • 2x IRIS instances in mirror pair
  • 1x IRIS development server (non-mirror)

Right now we have a script that successfully replaces the database for our IRIS development server with the latest snapshot from IRIS production, this process takes under 1 minute.

However, I noticed that when starting up IRIS after disk-replacement (not root disk, only data disk) every SQL query takes significantly longer for the first few days, I believe this to be SQL query plan cache being purged when the new disk from snapshot is used, SQL queries will hit timeouts until after several times running said query / API call, overtime it becomes performant again until next disk replacement.

We need to be able to sync data from production to development ideally few times a month, but this performance after attaching the new disk becomes almost unusable due to the timeouts, is there a way to sync data from production --> development without causing these issues?
