The big challenge you've all been waiting for is finally here: the 5th InterSystems Technical Article Writing Contest in Spanish has arrived!

Contest description: Write an article in Spanish on the Developer Community about any topic related to InterSystems technology.

Duration: June 8 to July 5, 2026.

Prize for all participants: Everyone who publishes an article in Spanish during the contest period will receive a prize.

Grand Prize: AirPods Pro 3

Take part in the contest and share your knowledge with hundreds of users! It's one of the best opportunities to publish that tip, discovery, or potential you see in InterSystems technology. (Newcomers are especially welcome in these contests!)

Prizes

1. Every participant wins in the InterSystems Technical Article Contest – Any Community member who takes part in the contest will receive a small gift from InterSystems as a token of appreciation.
2. Expert Awards – The winning articles in this category will be selected by InterSystems experts. The prizes are:

🥇 1st Place: AirPods Pro 3

🥈 2nd Place: Sony Reon Pocket Pro Plus

🥉 3rd Place: Huawei Band 10

3. Developer Community Award – The article that receives the highest number of "Likes". The winner will receive:

Note: Each author may win only one prize per category. This means that an author can win a maximum of two prizes in total: one in the Expert Awards category and one in the Developer Community Award category.

Who can participate?

Anyone registered with the Developer Community may participate, except InterSystems employees. If you don't have an account yet, register here on the Developer Community.

Contest Duration

📝 June 8 – July 5: Publication of articles.

📝 July 6 – July 12: Voting time.

📝 July 13: Winners announcement.

Publish your article(s) during this period. Members of the Developer Community can vote for the articles they like by clicking "Like" beneath each article.

Tip: The earlier you publish your article(s), the more time you'll have to gather votes from both the Experts and the Community.

🎉 Once the voting has concluded, we will announce the winners on the Developer Community.

What are the requirements? 

❗️ Any article written during the contest period that meets the following requirements will automatically be entered into the competition ❗️:

• The article must be directly or indirectly related to InterSystems technology (including InterSystems product features, complementary tools, architectural solutions, development best practices, and similar topics).
• The article must be written in Spanish.
• The article must be 100% original (it may be a continuation of a previously published article).
• The article must not be a copy or translation of another article previously published in the Spanish Developer Community or in any other Developer Community.
• Article length: more than 1,000 characters (links do not count toward the character total).
• Participation format: individual (participants may submit multiple articles).

What can you write about?

You may choose any technical topic that is directly or indirectly related to InterSystems technology.

🎯 BONUS Points and Scoring

The Experts will award 9 points to the article they consider the best, 6 points to the second-best article, and 3 points to the third-best article. In addition, articles may earn extra points through the following bonus opportunities:

Note: The judges' decision is final and cannot be appealed.

1. New Author Bonus: If this is your first time participating in the Spanish Technical Article Contest, your article will receive 4 additional points from the Experts.
2. Topic Bonus: If your article covers any of the following topics, it will receive 3 additional points:

3. Video Bonus: If you include an explanatory video along with your article, you will receive 2 additional points. Here are some tips in case you're not sure how to approach it.
4. Tutorial Bonus: You will receive 3 additional points if your article has a tutorial format, with step-by-step instructions that developers can follow to complete one or more specific tasks.
