First part of the InterSystems READY 2026 recap - still processing the energy!

Okay… first things first - sorry it took me so long to write this up. There was just too much happening, too many conversations, too many photos, too much travel and honestly… too much excitement to sit down and write right away.

READY 2026 started the way it always does, with that unique mix of anticipation and energy in the room. Look at these excited faces!

@Gabriel Ing, @Mariam Makhmutova, @Olga Zavrazhnova, @Dean Andrews, @Anastasia Dyubaylo, @Iryna Mykhailova

(Let's be honest, this was the end, and everyone was happy that we survived 😁)

But let's not get ahead of ourselves!

Of course, the first person I saw Sunday morning was @Maureen Flaherty - the head honcho of the whole event. Nothing happens there that she doesn't know. I caught her when she was doing her magic before the grand opening on Monday.

Pre-summit day (Monday this year) was, as usual, filled with fun and educational experiences. Those who enjoy playing golf (I among them) got up at the crack of dawn (5 am!) to tee off before the sun got too high up. It was a challenge - it was kinda raining, and it was cold. But we persevered, and by the end of the round it was sunny and hot! Here's our dream team in action:

@Iryna Mykhailova, @Josh Bunting, @Andrew Aho and @Jo Lohrey with guest appearance from Seth.

BTW, for those of you who asked me where I got my cap, join the Global Masters and order yourself one:

To save you the suspense, we didn't win. Again 😭 But in my opinion, we did great! We were on par. And everyone had fun! Lots of balls went to have a drink 🙃

While I was playing golf and converting heretics into Developer Community religion, other members of the team were leading the first-ever Hackathon:

Lots of familiar faces from the Community, including @Olga Zavrazhnova and @Gabriel Ing.

Later that evening, during the Welcome Reception, I bumped into our Brazilian team - together at READY for the first time ever!

@Juliana Yamao Modesto, @Danusa Calixto, @Henry Pereira, @Anastasia Dyubaylo, @José Pereira, @Iryna Mykhailova

Unfortunately, my French team was too busy discussing stuff that I don't feel comfortable sharing here with you guys 🤣 So no photos with them 😢

Let's now get back on track and start with the first day of the READY and the keynotes. As the first keynote began, it immediately felt like one of those events where you know you’ll need time afterward just to process everything.

@Don Woodlock set the tone by welcoming everyone to the READY.

Terry Ragon than talked about InterSystems,its mission and what changes people should expect with the new president @Don Woodlock (hint, none).

Afterward, Phillip Payne, MD talked about effective symbiosys of AI and human intelligence in healthcare - this was quite fascinating.

Before lunch, we also managed to prepare our table for the visitors who started flocking to it in droves!

As always, we had lots of prizes for the visitors. So next time you're attending READY, come by to say hi!

@Iryna Mykhailova, @Gabriel Ing, @Olga Zavrazhnova

While we were busy, our team member from the Portuguese DC @Danusa Calixto was presenting with InterSystems Partners at the session:

And our other active DC member @Henry Pereira was presenting on a different session

As you can see, the room was packed!

Afterward, we exchanged sweet gifts with our Musqueteeres. @Henrique Dias, we missed you terribly!

@Henry Pereira, @Iryna Mykhailova, @Anastasia Dyubaylo, @José Pereira

We also managed to attract other members of the Developer Community (no doubt thanks to my bright outfit 🤪)

@Gabriel Ing, @Iryna Mykhailova, @Rochael Ribeiro, @Anastasia Dyubaylo, @Olga Zavrazhnova, @Vishal Pallerla

Talking about golf, my favorite (and first) Global Summit golf partner stopped by - James Ragon.

While all this excitement was going on at our table, @Mariam Makhmutova was leading the Startup Showcase.

I guess this is it for the first part of the READY 2026. I will write up the second part tomorrow, because it's time to sleep - after midnight here. But only 7 pm in Boston. Guess I'm still living on Boston time 😴

PS. Here's a beautiful photo taken by @Sergei Shutov of the Ferris wheel by our hotel.
