go to post Paul Coviello · Nov 8, 2023 no worries though I did move the csp.ini file from the inetpub folder to the intersystems folder and voila I can get there, though what is odd that if I use the old server address to login to that instance on the new machine it brings me right back to the login screen yet it works fine from everywhere else. and if I try to connect from the new machine I get error 500.
go to post Paul Coviello · Nov 7, 2023 thanks though it looks like it's still an issue here http://localhost/csp/bin/Systems/Module.cxw.... and the following. Error Code: DLG_FLAGS_SEC_CERT_CN_INVALID is when I try to go to the systems SMP page the question is what cert ? this is a copy of a system that works.
go to post Paul Coviello · Sep 27, 2022 I'm still looking to see how to pass a shortcut in, and an export doesn't work either with or without the $ symbol. and I thought hard links may have been an option but they are not allowed. sigh! anyone have any further thoughts ? thanks Paul ( who is thinking maybe a windows platform may be an option)
go to post Paul Coviello · Sep 21, 2022 Hi Erik, yes for the most part you have it correct, though we have a link. (the variable wasn't what I wanted) in a nutshell I'm trying to pass the link to the application to write out a report or file. vs the whole file path. and just to clarify we have been running on VMS for years which allows for logicals and symbols which we then can use for a shortcut.
go to post Paul Coviello · Jul 13, 2022 fixed that and had to run setsebool -P httpd_can_network_connect on and it works thank you for all your help I learned new things today!!! thanks Paul

go to post Paul Coviello · Feb 4, 2021 yes that seems to be the case. they won't support higher than 2015.2 on VMS and whatever version of VMS Intersystems supports. though as mentioned above somewhere I heard it is on a case by case basis. oh well
go to post Paul Coviello · Feb 4, 2021 I will and as far as platform... VMS 8.4-1H1 on itanium rx8640 I did take a test box and upgrade it to VMS 8.4.2L1 and Cache seems to be running fine on it, can't put it into production since it's not supported.
go to post Paul Coviello · Feb 4, 2021 Thanks Erik, I do not know who is on the team since I go through the app vendor for any issues. Paul
go to post Paul Coviello · Jan 7, 2021 thanks now to get the app vendor to support that version, and to figure out what happens if I upgrade VMS!
go to post Paul Coviello · Jan 7, 2021 since it's in that document is it safe to say the recall for it has been lifted/fixed? and if we did go up in VMS versions would we be out of luck all together for support, or best effort? thanks Paul
go to post Paul Coviello · Jun 29, 2020 the version I am (VSI 8.4-1H1) on supports the higher versions but I was told that Cache only would look at the 1.0 library. if this is not the case please let me know what i can do to remedy this situation. thanks Paul
go to post Paul Coviello · Jun 29, 2020 I'm trying to do both. I would love to be able to use TLS in more places than just Studio unfortunately it's not supported on VMS. it would make life a lot easier if it did. thanks
go to post Paul Coviello · Jun 24, 2020 thanks that's what I was afraid of, anyway to make it fixed! probably not but worth asking. thanks again
go to post Paul Coviello · Jun 24, 2020 this is Studio and not a full Cache install. on the server it's a constant 56773, as you can see in the screen shot below the source is no where near 1972. and was hoping someone here could shed some light on this factor.
go to post Paul Coviello · Jun 24, 2020 HI I wanted to test a Studio connection at first, but it's looking like the port number from my PC changes with every attempt to connect to the database. in the long run it is to have a connection between 2 instances of Cache being run with Stunnel.
