I am pleased to announce that the web terminal project, Caché WebTerminal version 4 gets its release! After long period of enhancing this web application from 2013, it came to the version 4, which features major stability and security improvements, intelligent autocomplete and syntax highlighting, convenient SQL mode and a lot of other useful features.
The goal of this article is to spread the knowledge about this project over the InterSystems community.
Starting with the Field Test of 2017.1 InterSystems products will include Feature Tracker. It is enabled by default during the Field Test and is explained more fully in the product documentation included below. Information collected by Feature Tracker is limited to technology usage information and instance identification. This tool has been carefully crafted to not transmit sensitive information related to customer applications or data.

Preview releases are now available for the first version (v1.0) of InterSystems System Alerting and Monitoring (InterSystems SAM for short).
InterSystems SAM v1.0 provides a modern monitoring solution for InterSystems IRIS-based products. It allows high-level views of clusters and single-node drilled down metrics-visualization together with alerts notifications. This first version provides visualization for more than one hundred InterSystems IRIS kernel metrics, and users can extend the default-supplied Grafana template to their liking.
V1.0 is meant to be a simple and intuitive baseline. Please help us make it great by trying it and sending us feedback!
SAM can display information from InterSystems-based instance starting with version 2019.4
SAM is only available in container format. You will need the SAM Manager container plus a small set of additional open-source components (Prometheus and Grafana) that are added automatically by the composition file.

After beta testing the new InterSystems IRIS System Administration Specialist exam, the Certification Team of InterSystems Learning Services has performed the necessary calibration and adjustments to release it to our community. It is now ready for purchase and scheduling in the InterSystems certification exam catalog. Potential candidates can review the exam topics and the practice questions to help orient them to exam question approaches and content. Passing the exam allows you to claim an electronic certification badge that can be embedded in social media accounts such as Linkedin.
As part of our continuous efforts to expand and improve the InterSystems IRIS Data Platform, we’ve set up a brief survey around SQL monitoring. Your feedback will help us in designing and developing the right tools for the job and improve the platform’s overall ease-of-use. Please use the link below to access the survey, which should only take around 5 minutes to complete.
In October 2021 we asked for input from the IRIS community regarding exam topics for our InterSystems IRIS System Administration exam. We will close the window for providing feedback on the exam topics on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. Thus, if you would like to have your say in what topics are covered on the exam, this is your last chance!
While you don't need to take your exam before the end of 2022, the vouchers provided to the UK&I Summit 2022 must be redeemed before January 1, 2023. Please register for an exam before time runs out.
