In today's landscape, enterprises have grown substantially in scale, amassing vast amounts of data. This data is collected from a plethora of sources including different applications, databases, and other channels. Given the diversity and volume of this data, it's only logical for these enterprises to seek a deeper understanding of what their data entails. Some of the data can be stored in IRIS, and it can be reasonable to be able to add this data to a data lake too.

The Internet now offers many different tools for such tasks, that do not yet support IRIS, but it's achievable.

Any suggestions on the most efficient way to convert yyyymmdd string to mm/dd/yyyy?

I have this question for a long time. When I make an insert by SQL from an external application in the fields of type %String, if they are empty, it writes the character $c(0) in the global.

Is there a way so that if an Insert is received in a field of type% String with null value instead of the $ c (0) it leaves it empty?:

Is there a way to get a good performing index on a date field? I have tried various date property indexes and the query plan is always in a pretty high range. Below are query plan result values I have observed:

StartDate > '2019-12-01' --cost = 699168
StartDate = '2019-12-21' --cost 70666
StartDate between '2019-12-21' and '2019-21-28' --cost = 492058

The query plans above were for type %TimeStamp.

I have an operation which uses the SQL outbound adapter to query a data source set up using a system DSN on the server which uses the Intersystems ODBC35 driver (this is a cache db hosted elsewhere).

Whenever Ensemble runs the following query:

SELECT lnkdid,
c_fastsearch_code,
c_drugfull
FROM JAC.drug_basic
WHERE c_drugfull LIKE 'Para%'

No data is returned, however running the same query via SQL Server Management Studio, all expected rows are returned.

Also if I run the following via Ensemble:

I have a class that has a list property, which contains a list of other objects, and I want to join against it in SQL.

Haven't found this in the documentation. I want:

&sql(SELECT name INTO :var FROM :table)

Is it possible?

I have setup an async reporting mirror member with Read only access. My problem is that if I try to do any sql reporting against that data I am getting errors. I am sure that this is because the DB is read only, but I had assumed that setting up a reporting mirror would handle this.

I there a setting or mapping I am missing?

we're planning some work on our SQL Query Plan functionality for a future release of InterSystems IRIS and are interested to hear how you're using them today, or what'd keep you from using them. Rather than try and fit everything in a rigid survey, I thought a simple thread on our beloved DC might also reveal some use patterns that we support or could do a better job on.

I have a list of about 100 MPI IDs that I would like to run a report on. I want to list times that any data for these patients were accessed. Currently in "Managed Reports" we have a "Disclosure Report" which I think was a custom development effort, but it is per-patient.

Hello community! I have to work with queries using all kinds of methods like embedded sql and class queries. But my favorite is dynamic sql, simply because of how easy it is to manipulate them at runtime. The downside to writing a lot of these is the maintenance of the code and interacting with the output in a meaningful way.

I want to override getter for a serial property as a whole, because getter code depends on a class in which a property is defined.

Let's say I have CS.Serial as a serial class:

Class CS.Serial Extends %SerialObject
{
Property Year As %Integer;

Property Month As %Integer;
}

And CS.Persistent as a persistent class:
