I want to activate encryption and I also generated encryption key but Encrypt database option is disabled. How to enabled this option?

I am having an issue with a file not being deleted from the FTP server and returning an error to this effect. The file, however, was fully processed. This causes the file to process again.

My question is I seem to recall a flag that can be set to enable more detailed tracing to be done on the FTP service/adapter. However, I have not been able to locate this. Does anyone recall such a logging setting or was I just dreaming?

We have a scenario where an ObjectScript-based production calls a lookup service (SOAP in C#) to get information used in a value-set mapping process. The results can be cached in an IRISTEMP global to prevent a network call for every value, but that can hang around for quite some time on production systems.

The next logical step would seem to be to encapsulate strategies (LRU, MRU, etc.) and eviction code into an ObjectScript class that can be reused (we are not in a position yet to leverage embedded Python).

Is it possible to compile classes on a current version of the platform for a previous version? So using a compiler switch to compile classes that will run on a prior version?

We are implementation partners building a set of tools and we would like to ensure that the code will run on earlier versions we don't have access to.

I've define an upstream object in the IAM 0.34-1 and in it 3 targets. I now want to remove 1 of those targets.

I can not find the way to do that.

If you ever wondered how to debug some requests that are being made to or from IRIS, well here is a little tutorial on how to do that.

During a complex project, usually you get the specifications and implement the communication between IRIS and other things based on that. But from the paper to the real world there's usually a huge gap and you need to know why you are receiving an error on a parameter, on a header, you are not receiving the data and so on.

Methods written in ObjectScript can use pass-by-reference arguments to return information to the caller. Python doesn’t support pass-by-reference arguments, so Embedded Python in IRIS doesn’t support them either. In this case I am trying to just send a simple error to the log in the event the try is not successful. Have tried a few ideas I have found on the forum but none have worked as of yet.

Was at an HL7 Connectathon over the weekend and got in a scramble that headed us in the direction of trying out Preview 4 for I4H and found that the USER namespace, and subsequent namespaces created do not have any mappings included with them.
