Hello, InterSystems community!

Lately, you have probably heard of the new InterSystems Package Manager  - ZPM. If you're familiar with it or with such package managers as NPM, Dep, pip/PyPI, etc. or just know what is it all about -- this question is for you! The question I want to arise is actually a system design question, or, in other words, "how should ZPM implement it".

Hi, I asked last week and they gave me some little tips. But the truth is I still can't carry out this "Project".

I must perform a REST service, using Oracle 11 database. Eh tried anyway to achieve this.

The purpose is to make a REST service, using the database provided to me and use the procedure that is already created.

According to what I read, I made the connection via JDBC and I had no major problem

Hello everyone,
It is my first post in the community. Very recently I started working using IRIS, creating services with Cache.
Today they gave me a new task and I'm really lost.

How can I use an oracle database to create services using iris?

Throughout the day I was looking for a guide to use a remote Oracle database. but unfortunately I only managed the connection in SQL Gateway

During migration from Caché to IRIS I can preview a situation where some instance
have migrated to IRIS while others are still on Caché.
For various reasons this may be in place for some weeks or even months as the big bang isn't feasable.

So far I found a lot of statements related to mixed endinans,
but nothing related to cross operation beween IRIS and Caché.

?? any hints ??
?? any experience ??

Hi all,

I recently discovered the Monitoring Activity Volume feature in IRIS and I was amazed by it. So, I put it to work in one of our productions. It is nice how easy it is to set up and all the possibilites that came with it.

But there's something weird: the numbers. Actually, one of the BP is stating a time of more than 6 seconds to process:

Hi all,

One of the most useful features for me in IRIS was the queue page. From there, I could see how the different elements (BS, BP & BO) from a production were behaving, thanks to the possibility of auto-refresh every second. Great thing.

But we have updated to 2019.1 and this possibility is gone... we need to refresh manually! So, is there any way to set a parameter somewhere to have the queues status refreshed automatically?

Thanks a lot.

For Data Synchronization inside Caché you have a range of ways to synchronize objects and tables.
At DB level you can use Shadowing  or Mirroring

This works excellent and if you need just a part of your data to be synchronized you may split your
data into smaller pieces using Global mapping
Or if you need bi-directional synchronization on Class/Table level you can use the Object Synchronization Feature

The limit of all these excellent features:
They just work from Caché/IRIS to Caché/IRIS.
