Hey Developers!

Do you want to reap the benefits of the advances in the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning? With InterSystems IRIS and the Machine Learning (ML) Toolkit it’s easier than ever.

Join InterSystems Sales Engineers, @Sergey Lukyanchikov and @Eduard Lebedyuk, for the Machine Learning Toolkit for InterSystems IRIS webinar on Tuesday, April 23rd at 11 a.m. EDT to find out how InterSystems IRIS can be used as both a standalone development platform and an orchestration tool for predictive modelling that helps stitch together Python and other external tools.

 For Data Synchronization inside Caché you have a range of ways to synchronize objects and tables.
At DB level you can use Shadowing  or Mirroring

This works excellent and if you need just a part of your data to be synchronized you may split your
data into smaller pieces using Global mapping
Or if you need bi-directional synchronization on Class/Table level you can use the Object Synchronization Feature

The limit of all these excellent features:
They just work from Caché/IRIS to Caché/IRIS.

Hello all!

My company has been switching from $zf(-1) to $zf(-100) like many companies have been. I have been doing fine with 1 argument windows commands such as:

set errorfile = "D:\folder\error.txt"
set outputfile = "D:\folder\output.txt"

set options(1) = ""
set options(2) = "D:\ThomasTools\"

w $zf(-100,"/SHELL /STDERR="_errorfile_" /STDOUT="_outputfile, "dir", .options)

Hi,

I know of the existance of (ELEMENTS) to create an index from a list, but I actually would like to index the content of an element of a list. Is it possible?

My scenario:

Class:
Property Test As list of TestList;

Test.List:
Property Name As %String;
Property Surname As %String;

I would like to have an  index based on the TestList.Name. If I try using

Index NewIndex On Test(ELEMENTS)

it will create an index with Name and Surname in it, but I just want to have an index with the name. Is it possible?

WebSockets as a communication technology wins increasing importance.
In the SAMPLES namespace, you find a nice example for running a WebSocket Server.
There is also a useful example for a Browser Client. JavaScript does most of the work.

My point is:
How to consume the output of a WebSocket Server in your application?

Hi All,

I created a Business Operation to Integrate with Amazon S3.
I have used HTTP Outbound Adapter for the same. Used Get method of Adapter Class.
Basically in a request I want to send Unique File Name and File and in Response I want to get Version ID and if operation was successful, then set flag to true.

I have created a class for request in that I have two properties, as shown Below :

    Property fileName As %String;
    Property file As %GlobalBinaryStream;

This is in my Operation Class

Hi guys,

I have a customer trying to extract data from Hive. I've tried to use Data migration to migrate a table into IRIS with JDBC driver. But the migration task always fails as below

Then I tried to create a link table, the task fails too with the following error:

The question has come up several times and I saw mixed answers and no quick example

My personal preference is using CPIPE device as you get back exactly the output you will get at the command line interface of your OS .
The tricky thing is to stop reading in time.
The example just displays what you normally see in your console.
it becomes useful if you look for things that you can't get from any $system.whatever()

Hi all. We are going to find duplicates in a dataset using Apache Spark Machine Learning algorithms.

Note: I have done the following on Ubuntu 18.04, Python 3.6.5, Zeppelin 0.8.0, Spark 2.1.1

Introduction

In previous articles we have done the following:

If you have worked with Caché Objects,
You know already all about Relationships (one:many , parent:child) ...
But you will not find a word on many:many relationships in the docs.

But I met the question quite often from new adopters of Caché objects:
"Is it possible to implement many:many relationships ?" YES - of course !

As IRIS was announced yesterday by Paul Grabscheid I would be highly interested to get in touch with it.

- How can we get qualified for a closer view ?
- Where can we get some (preliminary) description + documentation.
- Is there any FT available ?

 I'm especially interested in the areas around included/embedded/attached JVM and SPARK .
