The IRIS Management Portal is localized (translated) for some (many?) languages and the language used by the Management Portal interface is determined by the browser settings, often derived from the OS settings (can be changed).

This means that if a user, like me, want to use ONLY the English version of the Management Portal, each and every time you login you need to change the language. VERY annoying.

I know I can change the language configured in Browser, BUT, I want to use English for the IRIS management portal non for all my internet activity!

Docker help - Idea a thon

I do not know about others, but Docker and the intro of Docker was not a forte of mine coming into trying out new components of InterSystems IRIS. We are moving to IRIS and with that we want to incorporate into our upgrade. I have been struggling with trying to understand Docker. I know it is not an InterSystems product but the assumption that everyone knows Docker and is using Docker has caused me a great deal of time.

What is everyone's thoughts about getting some kind of docker help like a basic understanding within InterSystems documentation.

Hey guys,

I do love Global Masters (and all the rewards that I get from it) and one of my favourite activities is answering quiz questions. And just now I've had a really cute question What is the result of: WRITE "99" + "cents"? which brought a smile to my face (because I do love to add questions like this to the tests for my students). This made me think that I would really like to somehow show my appreciation to the author of this question.

Hi Community!

We know how frustrating it can be to receive a lot of emails (and we definitely don't want to add to your load), so here is how you can set up email notifications for the InterSystems Ideas portal.

By default, all registered users are subscribed to all categories of ideas. To change this, just enter your Ideas Portal profile, select "Edit Profile," then click inside the item "Weekly summary email," click on "Categories to highlight" and choose what you're interested in.

We’d like to remind everyone of the value your feedback and observations bring to improving InterSystems products. Our customer support is world-famous, but if you're not a formal customer yet it can be confusing how to engage with us. We have now filled that gap.

Every time you notice an issue - whether it’s a broken feature, a UI glitch, or something that just doesn’t work as expected - the Ideas Portal is now also the way to submit bug reports.

***REMEMBER: If you have access to WRC, please submit the report via WRC as usual!***

Here’s how it works:

1. Go to the Ideas Portal and click Add a new idea

2. Provide the title, short description, choose “Bug reports” in the category field, and click Next

Metabase IRIS Driver

Hi InterSystems Community! I'm Sidd one of the interns at the Singapore office and I recently had the chance to develop to develop a driver to connect IRIS to Metabase to help some of the Sales Engineers here. I was encouraged to share it here so that if any others have a similar issue they can use the driver and as well as get some feedback on potential improvements. Once upon a time in Ensemble Management Portal the pool size of each component (Business Host) within the production was displayed in the Production Configuration page.

This information was very useful, especially when a production have tens or hundreds of components.
