Health Level-7 or HL7 refers to a set of international standards for the transfer of clinical and administrative data between software applications used by various healthcare providers
I'm trying to get a count of specific message type with a specific entry and thought I could build the query in Message Viewer but this does not provide counts (as far as I am aware). So when I take the SQL from 'Show Query' it omits the segment criteria as the code shows below.
I have attached the criteria that has been excluded. Is this possible?
We have a case where a vendor can send us more information in the DICOM message rather than in the HL7 result message. In theory it should be possible to take a DICOM and convert it to HL7, stupid question is has anyone done it before? Does anyone have any good examples of a DTL they did to show me how to setup the message structures and translation?
I'm receiving HL7 message containing the escape sequence \X00D\ indicating a carriage return. In the HL7 documentation I find that this is a valid escape sequence but when I read the intersystems documentation it states that only \X0D\ is valid.
What is the best way to work around this? I think that intersystems should change the UnescapeEx method in the EnsLib.HL7.Segment so that it complies with the standards.
I have an interface that does not send me specific ID's, so I am scanning the AIL3.2 (Text) field for certain characters. The Routing rule is getting pretty big with all the OR statements. Is there a way that I can define what I am searching for in the data lookup table, and not have to scan the whole field that it does by default? Is there a way that I can simplify this?
But in my Business Process when I refer to request.GetValueAt("FT1:16.4.2") its not recognizing that this field contains information. Is my syntax wrong?
We have a system that gives an AE 'Error' response for warnings, that we want to transform to AA codes when returning the Application ACK.
MSH|^~\&|iCS|EHT|EPRO|R1K|20180511113136||ACK^A02|fbwZaoKW/USAdFI3IGLU|P|2.3|||AL|NE|
MSA|AE|fbwZaoKW/USAdFI3IGLU||||0^Nothing To Update^^W
ERR|||0^Nothing To Update|W|
Fortunately they include a warning code in MSA:6.4 and ERR:4
We have the need to write a function that can loop through say a field in an OBX segment within HL7 and compare it to a string passed. Is it possible to have the user enter the Operator ( >,<,=,<>) as a variable inside Cache object script? Does anyone have any examples they can share?
I love the integration of HL7 v2.x in Ensemble, it's really easy to use.
I would love to see the same about using CDA on Ensemble. I know it's a complicated standard, but it would be more easy for developers in Europe if we could use it like any other type of message instead of using at XML level and xsl transformations.
I have a delimited flat file that I need to read and then generate an HL7 A08 message from the fields in the file. I used the Management Portal's Record Mapper to generate the Map.Record class, then used drag & drop to map fields in the delimited flat-file to an A08 message.
But when I try testing this in the test tool, I'm getting an ERROR #6254: Tag expected . XML input. ... is not in proper format as child of Record (ending at line 2 character 11).
Is there any out of the box capability in Ensmeble to remove an FHS segment from a batch file? We have a client that is creating a batch of HL7 messages and they insert an FHS but there is no trailing FTS.
We are hoping to avoid custom COS code to handle this scenario.
Are the HL7 UK specific ZU segment structures available for Healthshare?
I can obviously do them by hand, but it would save time if the structures were available in HealthShare as a starting point for interfraces that use them (our PAS 'ICS' uses ZU1,2 & 4)
I'm currently working on a project to run our medical device integration through ensemble.
I've noticed a potential problem with the volume of messages . The feed generates around 474K messages daily( average of 1 message per minute per device from 300+ devices).
We currently keep all our other feeds message data for 90 days and purge automatically. From what I can see is that the purge functions in Ensemble are production wide and cannot set it at the Business Operation, Service or Router level.
I want to test automatically that HL7 business operation works correctly in error conditions. One is to test CE acknowledgement. I have planned to implement test production which includes business services for different situations (AA, AE, CA, CE, timeout, late response etc).
How should I implement HL7 business service that always returns CE (commit error)? I have tried but it keeps returning "AA".
As I was going though and trying to figure out why our CACHE.dat has increased in size over the past 18 days, I found that EnsLib_HL7.Message is still retaining messages dating back to 2014 even though we have our purge set to 10 days. Has anyone else experienced this?
Is it possible to have a, b, c, d, e, and f as a counter instead of the counter being numeric? See below...Epic would like us to set OBX.4 using a alpha numeric combination.
I am currently working on an interface that needs to communicate to a SOAP/ITK endpoint.
I am using the EnsLib.ITK.AdapterKit.Operation.SOAPOperation to interface with an ITK service, but it is proving to be more complex than originally expected to set up the web client against that particular end-point since I haven't been provided with a WSDL from ITK service side as the vendor state they are following the ITK standard and no WSDLs are needed.
I've just started developing for a new client and noticed that the View Raw Contents link isn't displayed when inspecting HL7 message contents in the Management Portal. Is the link missing due to:
1) a configuration setting?
2) a security setting?
3) a difference between installation on Unix Vs Windows?
And is there a way to turn it on?
I've trawled through the doco but haven't been able to find anything on this.
I'm working on a project that will be dealing with depression screening and I'm not certain where any of this information would belong in the HL7v2.x world.
Can anyone suggest what the proper placement of "has this person been screened" and if so, "this was what the screening showed"?
At first thought I was thinking that this is an "Observation" of some sort (and ORU message) for the "what the screening (or perhaps testing) showed", but I'm not sure if the screening was performed yes/no qualifies as an "ordered test".
