The aging population and increasing incidence of chronic diseases are putting unmanageable pressures on healthcare services, not just in Europe, but worldwide. The current models of healthcare are unsustainable in the face of increased demand for services and rising costs. This was evident even before the financial crisis led to severe cuts in healthcare budgets in many countries.

HealthShare Unified Care Record Technical Specialist

Earlier this year, we launched a beta program for the new CCR Angular UI. As almost all of the known issues and gaps have been addressed, we are getting ready to launch the new angular UI for all users.

We are still looking for 5-6 people to review the design for the HealthShare Patient Index Technical Specialist Certification exam. for details, see the original announcement.

HealthShare 2020.1 is now Generally Available!

When I'm asked questions about SQL, I like Intersystems staff at the WRC, generally ask about the Query Plan. My feeling is that even before you run a query you should examine the results of Show Plan to confirm that the code is going to give me the results in the manner I would expect. If I expect it to leverage an index and I see that it is not then I go back and look at what I might have done incorrectly and try to re-write the query to get the index behavior I'm looking for.
