In the past, reading information from a bar code was limited to a simple alphanumeric code. The creation of a bar code with more than one dimension (2D), especially the QR Code, allowed to increase the amount and variety of data stored in a bar code. While conventional bar codes are capable of storing a maximum of approximately 20 digits, the QR Code is capable of handling several tens to hundreds of times more information. This revolutionized the markets. Now QR codes are everywhere and can be very useful for storing textual, numeric, alphanumeric and even binary data.

I have been tinkering with FHIR recently and tried to update the FHIR servers Capability Statement after I made some changes. I updated an OAuth2.Issuer Service Registry entrys URL and needed to update the metadata which the FHIR server sends to the client so they can get the updated URL for the authorization server we use.

I'm looking for a strategy for dividing a large FHIR message, in a post request, into smaller parts.
I have found the paging modifier for the GET request, but not a similiar one for the POST request. Maybe the 'batch' type of a Bundle could help me to indicate this aim but there aren't any attribute to say the total or the i-th element.
Do you know of any method for implementing 'paging' in a post request?
Hello everyone, I’m a French student in academical exchange for my fifth year of engineering school and here is my participation in the FHIR for Women's Health contest.
This project is supposed to be seen as the backend of a bigger application. It can be plugged into a Front End app and help you gather information from your patients. It will read your data in local and use a Data Transformation to make it into a FHIR object before sending it to the included local FHIR server.

I was wondering how if the "old FHIR gateway" works with the latest release of HealthShare Information Exchange. Since there is an impact on the amount of storage needed to use the "FHIR Gateway 2 which uses the Operation Data Store (ODS)", my question is how (if at all) can FHIR access to Information Exchange work without ODS?

I created the iris-fhir-portal as part of the current contest InterSystems IRIS for Health FHIR, and I'm writing this quick overview to introduce the features that my application offers.
The goal of iris-fhir-portal is to show how easy we can create a Patient Chart using FHIR capabilities in IRIS for Health and empower the user with their own data.
I have a project that needs to get DSTU2 resources ultimately to CSV files. My thought was if I could get there Resources to R4 I could use the FHIR SQL builder to help map the data. Anyone have ideas? Maybe DSTU2 to SDA to R4...
Most of my development experience is with HL7v2 interfaces and I don't have a background in web development and I'm very weak with javascript.
I'm looking for suggestions of learning resources to learn FHIR and 'SMART on FHIR' (JavaScript, OpenID connect, OAuth2) for developers like myself who mostly do HL7v2 integrations - but see FHIR as the future - and want to develop their skills!
We have a situation where we want to save the patient photo (or any other attachment) received via FHIR to a persistent property without decoding it. When it is sent out again using FHIR is is stored in the encoded format and need not be encoded. We do not need to decode it for our application. We always use it on another system that retrieves it or saves it via FHIR and therefore it is always received or sent embedded in JSON.
