Hello and welcome to the Developer Ecosystem Fall News!
This autumn we've had a lot of online and offline activities in the InterSystems Developer Ecosystem. In case you missed something, we've prepared for you a selection of the hottest news and topics to catch up on!
This is the beginning of the festive season and we'd like to mark this occasion with our yearly festive competition - Advent of Code! For those of you unfamiliar with it, Advent of Code is an advent calendar of small programming puzzles for a variety of skill sets and skill levels that can be solved in any programming language you like.
We recently published a new White Paper on the use of reporting nodes ("asynchronous reporting mirror members" in full) in a mirrored environment. Read the White Paper here.
Write an article on any topic related to InterSystems IRIS or IRIS for Health (and all related products, e.g. HealthShare, Cloud Smart Data Services, etc.) and publish it on the Developer Community during the contest period: November 10 - December 10, 2023.
This contest is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate your expertise with InterSystems IRIS and Java (applications that use Kotlin, Clojure or Scala are also very welcome). Whether you're a seasoned developer or just getting started, we welcome all enthusiasts to take part.
This time around, we've decided to spruce up this activity a little and extended this rubric to encompass all 6 communities - English, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, and French. Isn't this exciting?
And this month we have our first non-English entry.
Without further ado, here are the Key Questions of October chosen by InterSystems Experts within all Communities:
