#DC Feedback

How was it born? Who runs it? How committed is Intersystems to it? Is it run by a dedicated person/team or is it a part time job?

It's difficult to find community support for Intersystems products. I've had relative success lately on StackOverflow but that's mostly thanks to one person (who is also a member here). The point being, this is a very important asset for us as developers, administrators and users of your product. I hope that fact is not lost on management at Intersystems.

When you click on the My Content icon in the navigation bar you see a page with tabs, two of which are "My Content" and the other is "My Collaborations". The formatting of this content is not very good and is inconsistent between the two.

Questions:

1. How many of you are using these pages?

2. What are you using them for?

3. What information do you expect to see here?

4. How can we improve this?

I've already pointed out that I believe the reply icon should be changed, but this would be (mostly) irrelevant if all icons had text. Here is a simple mockup:

I think DC would be a great area to get feedback from current or future users of our technology about what new features they would like to see in our products and let them vote the different proposals. Open discussions/suggestions with no commitment on IS side to be done but sure there would be lot of good ideas to consider by our product managers and development.

Do we need tag Performance to mark posts related to recipes of better performance for InterSystems based solutions?

Vote please, if we need it!

Why isn't the develoepr community contest post on the home page? Can you make it "sticky" to the homepage?

What happens if there is some urgent/important announcment you need everyone to see? Can you sticky a post to the homepage top? maybe create a section (main area or right side) that the admin can stick important posts for everyone to see?

I used the Members option from the Community button to look up Evgeny's profile. Above the tabs ("View", "Mentions", "Posts (53)" etc) his name was displayed (correct).

Then I clicked on the "Posts (53)" tab. It showed his posts, but displayed my name above the tabs.

When publishing an article draft, the date of the post should be the date of publishing, but not the date when the draft was created.

On the homepage that we get when we go to https://community.intersystems.com/ there are three views, controlled by a set of buttons in the upper right:

Above is with the default view (the "house", i.e. the "home").

If there isn't yet, maybe consider a DC enhancement to add an adornment to their name or photo to indicate this.

This would be pretty helpful for the community I think.

I searched fror "documenting classes" from the search button with no filtering. it naturally came back with 559 responses, but to me, the responses (and therefore the search) came without context.
