For CachéQuality I'd love to be able to create issues when the programmer uses classes which are deprecated for this or that version of Caché... But short of reading all the changelogs of all versions, I can't really tell when a command appeared (for instance RETURN; I know now that it appeared in 2014.x, but it took me some time to realize that), or when a (set of) class(es) became deprecated (for instance %GlobalCharacterStream to be replaced with %Stream.GlobalCharacter -- I don't even know since which version this is true :/).
During some consultant activity I did at a client's I have discovered something very interesting. It seems like the current processing cycle as written in ObjectScript has trouble utilizing an SSD-based storage machine with five-digit IOPS.
Can anyone please provide me with a guide I can follow to create an entry in Cache's SSL/TLS configuration that would allow me to "speak" to an website via the Post method using SSL.
I need to simulate functionality that is provided by my browser but from with Cache.
The topics I have are:
1. From where do I source the certificate that will be used for this process?
2. What processing must I do on it to make it acceptable for Cache's SSL/TLS
3. What settings are required when filling the the form
I'm curious to know what InterSystems clients are using for csp based web development methodology.
Are you doing tag based development, or class based development?
If you are using tag based development, what tools are you using to create the look and feel of your web pages? Are you using tools like Adobe Dreamweaver, or do your developers sit down and code HTML using plain editors like Notepad and Notepad++
Are you doing prototyping of web pages and then adding CSP tags, or are you just developing the finished csp page with no prototype?
If I have a cache.dat file from a Windows 2012 (64-bit) machine and I want to mount it on a Caché instance running on RHEL, will it work? Assume the versions of Caché are the same.
If you had to choose Angular 1 or 2 for a new web project using Caché/Ensemble as a backend, Which one would you choose? I'm trying to figure this out with a short pros/cons list:
I have a doubt, its possible to use interface like C# using COS?
Remember, interface is different from Abstract Class, because a abstract class can implement code in the method, so I don't want this, I want only define the methods from Class, not allowing implement code.
During a migration from a rather old Caché Version (2016.1) to IRIS I met the problem to migrate Streams. The difference in the storage Global is minimal It's not a big effort to do it manually for a few streams. But for some thousand streams I hope there is a tool already available. But where?
This question came on the Ensemble in Healthcare email list. It's a great question. I'm working on an answer, but am posting it here to get any other input. I'll also address the option of using %CSP.REST.
Has anyone called any outside Javascript code from inside their class files? I asked a long time ago if there was a way to manipulate an image within Cache Object Script, and since Cache doesn't have any image libraries its not really possible. However I have found Javascript to resize an image and wonder how hard it would be to mesh the two together.
I have a %Net.Request object and I want to get a full URL of the request sent (preferably after all redirects, but even full initial one would be good). For example, I have the following method:
Mirroring provides an admin capability to Stop Mirroring on this member, which causes a non-primary member to temporarily disconnect from the primary, stop dejournaling, etc. While most system administrators may never need or use this function, some employ it for certain kinds of maintenance or other special cases.
I know that Cache files can be stored as XML and UDL based files. Is there any way to determine in which format the file(class, routine, dfi and so on) is stored? Because you can easily name your XML based file as class.cls and it will be perfectly valid.
I know that one way to check whether this file is in XML format is just try to parse it like
Set st = ##class(%XML.TextReader).ParseStream(contentStream)
I'm trying to create a method that will automatically create something I can save and use later, which will let me automate data migration from one version of a class to the next.
This discussion is open to anyone who use or know about WebTerminal project. It is a result of a long story of the project development, testing and maintaining.
Why when I use a SQL on the Cache, the condition between "the expression" and "the expression", not permite to me, delete the all ID of this data class?
I have created SOAP service and WSDL generated. While accessing WSDL URLs, it is redirecting to login page and giving access with production credentials.
I have tried to invoke form webservice clinet (soapui /postman), endup with authentication failed error.
Same service I am able to access from Terminal.
Could you please help me to access Production exposed SOAP service with out authentication.
Here is a screenshot from my 2016.2 FT instance of Studio and Ensemble:
I don't recall having seen the highlighted "+" suffix on document names previously. Who can tell me what it denotes?
I originally posted this in the Field Tests group but it turned out to be a 2016.1 feature that I hadn't previously noticed. So I subsequently moved the post to the Cache group.
