Caché and Ensemble 2016.1

I am happy to announce the immediate availability of Caché and Ensemble 2016.1.

The highlights of 2016.1 are

  • Significant improvements in JSON support
  • Continued advances in SQL performance
  • Database scalability improvements
  • New REST services for DeepSee

These and other new features are summarized in this video introduction to 2016.1

Zen Reports has offered multiple choices for direct printing including use of Adobe Reader or Foxit reader. Recent changes in Windows 10 and in the readers themselves have made it no longer possible to invoke these readers from background processes in Windows 10 and all future versions. Because of this Zen Reports will no longer support printing with these tools on Windows 10.

Windows 10 support was added for 2015.1 and 2015.2. On Windows 10, the only option for direct printing with Zen Reports will be Qoppa JPDFPrint.

Caché Monitor is a database\sql tool primarily for InterSystems Caché but can also connect to MS SQL Server, MS Access and more databases. Within Caché Monitors Server Navigator you see all available Namespaces on your Caché Servers. No need to know the name of the Namespace, no need to configure many many JDBC Connections by hand. Just click on the namespace and see all objects like tables, views, classes and more...

I am pleased to announce the third 2016.2 field test kit, 2016.2.0.590.0.

In the week since the last field test posting Development has made over a hundred fixes and improvements in Atelier, Enterprise Manager, Ensemble and Caché. Unlike the previous field test kit, though, in which the changes were distributed evenly over multiple areas and products, in this kit over half of the changes are associated just with Atelier.
