Is it possible to convert the object of type %SerialObject to $List form? I'm using embedded class in unique index and I want to use autogenerated method Open to access the object - parameter should be in $List form...
Discover the exciting challenges and opportunities that await Java enthusiasts in this year's contest. We'll talk about the topics we expect from participants and show you how to develop, build and deploy applications on the InterSystems IRIS data platform and how to develop Java applications working with InterSystems IRIS.

I'm required to do a transformation around patient physical addresses. If (for whatever reason) a patient has multiple addresses, I want to move the home address to the first iteration of PID:11 and remove all other iterations. I've accomplished the first bit using DTL, but for patients who have multiple addresses they are left with empty trailing iterations. Here is an example I mocked up:
Here in %SYS, we have already examined users, resources, and roles. Now that we know how to set all of that up, we should give it a purpose. Next we will talk about applications! As you may expect, we will see various identical class methods defined here that we have seen in the previous classes. However, some of them will have some tiny yet significant differences.
Do to unforseen circumstances the Atelier build that was distributed with the Cache 2016.2 field test had certain incompatibilites which prevented it's effective use with the server that it was bundled with.
We are working on remediating this regretable situation and will provide a compatible Atelier in the 2016.2 field test refresh which is scheduled for today Monday, 1st of Februrary.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience so caused.
Hello, I need to determine the best way to split a class containing multiple methods(about 20), into multiple classes in which each method is in its own class. I am wondering if there is another way other than manually creating the different classes, and copying each method into each class. Doing this in Intersystems Studio.
My group needs to be able to monitor items / tasks, and let a non-management-portal user see the monitoring. Is it possible to run DeepSee queries on Production items? I feel like I should not be recreating the production environment or the task manager just so that I can query on the items that are running, and on their states (like "successful" or "send email").
Also, I need to log custom events for each task, and I'm running into difficulties with the task manager in this regard; hence the question about using the Production instead, but querying it.
An open discussion about technologies being used. Q&A. Plans for the next contests.

How do I generate my own method for all properties in my class definition like auto-generated methods PropertyGet(), PropertySet(), PropertyGetStored().

I'm executing a query using JDBC on a PostgreSQL db:
SET statement_timeout TO 600000000; COMMIT SELECT * FROM bi_hour
The query is aborted with the following message:
FOUT #5023: Fout in Java Gateway: JDBC Gateway getClob(0,2) errorBad value for type long : active
The column 'blocked_status' contains the value 'active' is of type 'text'. I figure somewhere the SQL Gateway tries to convert the text value into a long but I can't find where, any suggestions?
I was wondering if there was a supported way of editing the Title bar of the management portal so that at a glance it is clear as to what environment is being worked on. This would be in addition to the namespace and server name being displayed.
Ideally I would like to make it clear at a glance that a user is working within the Dev or Live environment.
We have officially released our CCR Technical Implementation Specialist certification exam for beta testing. The beta test will be available until March 1st, 2022.
